Hi all,
I'm new to this forum. I'd like to introduce myself. I'm 40 years of age, female. My interests include music (any genre), reading a great novel, watching comedy, Restuaranting, and learning new things. I suffer from depression and anxiety. Depression feels very lonely for me. I'd like to reach out for some support. Thank you.

Happy to hear Y is going to the Halloween party. She will be rocking it!! She sounds happier Ems. 🙂
I'm happier to be out and about with the shopping & beauty the last two days - happy to get out of home for a few hours. My eyelashes look FLIRTY & SEXY!! I had my french manicure as well after my eyelashes. I'm back to my old, usual self babyyyy!!!!!! It feels great. From now on it'll be maintenance visits to salon.
Sleepy, do things at your own pace. Slowly, slowly, step by step. I'm proud of you.
Been binging on Suburra ... watching season 2 now.

hi alll - i asked on the other thread how your lashes were - so happy
i also need to feel like i can take care of myself and have some personal care
Lashes are self care!!
I didn't even think about manicures.... that wuld be fun to go and get one!
i saw brett sutton again in the news... he's trending for some reason...
I've been waiting at home for a package to come from america - I wander if it will come today.... I ordered some books about a week ago when I was down. I found the books much cheaper in america even with the postage. hope they arrive today!
Thanks i'm trying to make headway but go slow - these times have been bumpy here in melbourne for our mental health. I think I feel a bit self-consious in crowds but after being in crowds the last few days easing into it. it's not too bad. I just go for short stints to the stores and leave when it's enough.

Music, reading (though I haven't read in a long long time), beautifying yourself is self-care for me. Getting out and meeting other women, including the ones doing your nails or eyelashes is good company for me, as I've had little contact with ppl these days.
I hope your books arrive soon. I.m not sure how long it'll take.
Being conscious in crowds is normal. We all feel like that - you're not alone. I am too, to some lesser degree. At times, I avoid big shopping centres particularly at Christmas because its too overwhelming for me. Id prefer a smaller centre with less walking from shop A to shop B. Parking can be a nightmare too. Arrgghhh. Great strategy to leave when its enough.
As for Mr. Sutton - the only thing I can think of when you mentioned that he's trending. Victorians are really happy with his hard work and dedication to bring the virus down. He was trending 2 weeks ago because of the resignation business (Libs were calling for his resignation). He's always trending in good and bad light (not so much bad though).
Hi Mocha,
It's awesome when they get the diagnosis right. When the symptoms are explained and they validate how you feel, then you know that the diagnosis is simply right. Great to hear. 🙂

mocha delight said:Hi blueberry, ecomama, monkey_magic and everyone else I have some good news that although it’s not official yet but my psychologist says well mentioned that in the last appointment she agrees with my gp that I have depression of some type but in today’s appointment she said she thinks I have both social & general anxiety as well.
Hi mocha!!!
I'm so glad you feel vindicated by these diagnoses.
A new beginning maybe?
How are you feeling today?
I saw your support of LMO on her thread and I think she really needs a friend like you right now. LOVE YOUR WORK.

Hey Blubes and Sleepy21!
Loving the talk of ALL the self-care stuff... it's FUN!
I'm about to have a bath and do the "girly thing" of all the scrubs etc lol...
I started watching Suburra last night too, it's right up my alley lol.
Bit annoying I can't have it running in the bath because I mostly listen to shows in the bath, can't read subtitles in the bath lol! ... that's okay... more Brene is my thang too.
I'm heading out to Alexa's after that. She's ill and going through lots of first time emotions and feelings right now over the break up with abusive ex. I need to be there to help with the kids and just "be there".
BF and I have had lots of very loving and empathic communication this week and realised some deep triggers he has about the whole move to Australia thing, including the whole pre-nup palaver.
I'd probably feel exactly the same if the shoe was on my foot ie needing to leave my own country.
We both feel a sense of calm and happiness about it all now.
I'd LOVE some decorating tips lol... I'm pretty much overlooking it all and trying to be there for the kids.
monkey!!... I bought more containers lol... need to post on your buying thread soon.
Love to you all, hope to be back later tonight.

I'm all caught up!
Mocha it can b a relief when u finally know what's wrong, then U can work on it.
I'm still waiting on a package from China which never showed lol.
Love eyelashes and nails. Makes a difference. Yes, going out, being amoungst it all makes a huge difference to mental health.
So the conversation with boyfriend has taken a positive turn, good to hear.
Me, I was at a friend's bday for lunch. Had 2 Malibu pineapples and a chicken parmi- so filling I was feeling sick. Had some laughs so it was a pretty good catchup.
I bought a massive cake $70 but it was sickly sweet. Seemed to be a bit though.

Hello darlings lol
Alexa ended up coming here bec prodigal son came home and is leaving 1st thing in the morning because.... drum roll... he got a PT job! Well it's a "Trial" tomorrow but his boss up here gave an excellent reference. He needed to pick up his steel capped boots and bamboo socks I bought for them all to use for work.
Then he plans to come back tomorrow night lol for a party my other sons are putting on here with all their friends.
I'm really happy for him if he gets this job. Sad for us. Happy for him.
It's a topsy turvy world.
Alexa's really not well.
monkey, your friend's bday lunch sounded awesome!
All the extensions of eyelashes and finger nails lol sound great!
Re hair: I remember Sleepy you were saying about keeping hair looking healthy?
Are there any hair treatments any of you like using?
My fave is the oi range... yes OI lol.
But I've run out and will have to wait till next year to get some more. It's pretty expensive.
When I was much younger I LOVED Henna wax treatments that I did myself. Haven't been able to find it for YEARS now.
Atm I'm just using whatever's around lol... like Argun oil and coconut oil. My hair soaks oil up and I need it to calm it down lol.
It's RAINING again wow... 6 out of 8 days raining mostly light rain.
I hope it's fine for Halloween tomorrow.
HAPPY HALLOWE'EN FOR TOMORROW EVERYONE!
Love EM

Ems you can get henna products from any Indian grocery stores or Indian hair salons.
Monkey, the cake lol. All I can think of are calories. Yum though. Good to hear you had a great time. Wish I had friends to do that with. Ppl take friendships for granted sometimes. I could only wish for some.
I hope Alexas ok. Whats up with her? And, woohoo!! Congrats to son. Proud of him!!!! He needs to be careful hes not funding the family though. Id be heart broken.
Xx
