G'day all

Just wanted to say hello to everyone and give a brief intro.

Been a long time FIFO worker (thought I put in the hard yards to pay off a huge mortgage and family debt). About 5 years ago, came home to find the Mrs in bed with a younger man. She totally turned my life upside down; divorce, settlement, custody battles - it was hell mates! Managed to get back on my feet however starting to suffer from PTSD about 3 months ago... just haven't been able to shake 'em or really talk to anyone about it. A good mate of mine recommended me to join this forum as a first step so I did.

My biggest huddle is there are times I find it really hard to leave my bedroom - I just can't shake the thoughts of fear and an unsafe world to step into and then there are days where I am just fine and it doesn't even cross my mind. I have no idea what the triggers are or have any idea on how to detect them...

Thank you all.

Sincerely,

AM

Hello AM

To say you have been through a bad time would be the understatement of the year.

If I can say thanks to you and your friend for the referral to the Beyond Blue forums. Even though the circumstances arent ideal its great to have you as part of the forum family AM

Knowing the triggers isnt really that important at this time. Can I ask if you have seen your doc or anyone to have a good vent about the pain you have gone through?

Venting >>>> Blowing off steam is crucial to our recovery where mental health is concerned. I understand your pain as I have been through the same with an ex of mine years ago and it hurts...a lot

I have had chronic anxiety for a few years and its a bad place to be in AM. Can I ask if you are experiencing any anxiety symptoms?

There are many gentle people on the forums that can be here for you. The forums are also a judgement free place to post too!

It would be great if you could stick around

My Kind thoughts

Paul
