I feel like I have hit rock bottom. I just turned 26 and I am so mentally unwell and depressed that I can't do anything. I have no family support as they've cut me off. I have agoraphobia so leaving the house without my carer is damn near impossible. I can't work or study because dissociative amnesia and undiagnosed neurodivergence. I'm stuck and everything feels like it's crushing me. I don't know where to go from here.

Hey Nix,
Thank you so much for posting here, and we warmly welcome you to the forums. I hope you can find some comfort here.
I'm sorry to hear that you've been feeling like this, what a difficult place to be stuck in. Would you feel comfortable opening up to a GP about how you're feeling at all? Professional advice can be really helpful, if seeking this kind of help is a feasible and realistic option. There are also counsellors available 24/7 on our Beyond Blue homepage through our webchat and call features, and Lifeline is always available on 13 11 14 if you ever feel like you're in a really rough place.
Otherwise, if seeking professional guidance seems like it would be too difficult to achieve at this stage, there are things you can do to build up the strength to get to this point.
When I'm stuck in that paralytic state and can't seem to do anything I need to, it's important to me to be able to make small steps towards achieving what I'd like to get done that day. For instance, if you're finding it difficult to leave your room, making your bed can be a great first step to give you a small sense of accomplishment that can motivate you to do more. This can help you work towards bigger steps like going for a five minute walk outside, which will tap into that inner strength and help you make further strides.
Have you spoken to your carer about how you've been feeling currently? It sounds like they might be a good person to talk to about this, as they might be able to talk through strategies with you to help you feel better and overcome some of these difficult feelings so that you can do more things that you'd like to be able to do.
I hope this helps a little, please feel free to keep chatting with us, we're here to support you.
All the best, SB
