Yeah just feeling quite anxious about the future, not something that can seem to manage. Even in spite of things doing there- just with meditations, some things like that. Anti anxiety tablets, medication and yeah just seem to think am doing what can control. And others' opinions dont matter- except for coming on here aha..... . But yeah anyway just seems to be going over "old ground"- will look into different options myself, adapt and adjust. Even with just given the "current situation" but yeah just difficult, tricky to switch off completely. Cos just a lot of things to do with this- just is around "communication' but yeah whatever aha.......

Yeah not ideal just put this post just in wrong forum topic think aha..... . But anyway yeah just pretty anxious about, around the future and just with not getting any sort of "sense". That people will just not get me and think they do get me, just quite a weird and odd one aha..... . Definitely not people on here, just lived experiences but as for others in my own personal life- just seem to be forcing it. And forcing themselves on me just quite weird and odd aha......

It can definitely be tough when there are a whole number of factors in play and we're trying to steer away from the phrase 'What's wrong with me?'. I've found an alternative question that can be helpful at times is 'What is this challenge about?' or 'What are these challenges really about?'.
'Old ground' or 'familiar territory' can be frustrating places to be, for a couple of reasons. One reason can relate to not being able to make complete sense of that territory, while constantly revisiting it. Another can relate to 'I thought I had it all worked out. Damn! Apparently not. Back to the drawing board'. When old territory is dark and depressing or highly stressful and anxiety inducing, it can feel extremely torturous in some cases.
A little philosophical perhaps but I believe we're travelers in life in a way. We carry a backpack filled with unwanted baggage and tools, skills and abilities. The ultimate challenge can involve pulling out, facing, making sense of and leaving behind the baggage that weighs us down and then filling that empty space with a tool, a skill or an ability that's going to serve us. For example, there can be a lot of baggage that can come with being a people pleaser. There are also many tools, skills and abilities that can be learned when it comes to pleasing our self more, in highly constructive and liberating ways. Open and honest communication with a much needed ability to rock the boat or shake things up occasionally can be just a few abilities worth learning.
To say that it's tough being a traveler is a massive understatement at times. I've found really solid guides to be a must in some cases, as opposed to ones who make no difference at all.

Yeah nice one therising, did just skim it to be honest aha.... But yeah nice one was something have been feeling noticeably better today. Had some ups and downs but just think can shut out the things, that seem like don't matter. And just see how can be as a person, cos yeah well just is important. And yeah feeling noticeably better so best not to dwell too much, except to say- nice one. Well put with that there

Hi there,
Welcome back to the forum.
Sorry to hear you are feeling anxious. Given the new year is around the corner, I think you are describing how lot of people are feeling right now. I myself feel quite anxious about the future, what challenges next year might bring, and so many uncertainties to come. However, it's very limited what we can control in our future. All we can do is make the right decisions and actions today and now. Then hope things work out as planned.
People who are forcing themselves on your life, are they your friends or family? Often they have good intentions at heart but don't realise they are invading our space or giving us pain. I try to have a direct conversation in these situations, specially my mother who can have different opinions on what's good for me even though I'm way pass teenage years.
Hope the upcoming festivities bring you some cheer and feel control in life.
Take care

Hello,
Really sorry to hear about what you are going through. No one knows what the future holds, so worrying about how situations will turn out is pretty normal and natural. So please don't feel alone. I am an overthinker too and I sometimes get very anxious about things.
If I may ask, do you have any friends or family who you trust and can talk to? I do understand it's not always easy to talk about what you're afraid of, but sometimes talking about these fears can help you feel less anxious.
Try not to spend a lot of time imagining worst-case scenarios, as this will only increase your anxiety. Always try and check your self-talk, the way you talk to yourself really matters.
It's natural to worry about bad things happening, but if you are spending too much time thinking about negative things and when worries starts to take over, then it stops you from enjoying the good things in life.
If your anxiety is starting to impact your day-to-day life and prevents you from enjoying the present, then it is better to seek professional support, talking to your GP or therapist can definitely help.
Please look after yourself, I am here to listen if you want to share more...
Take care

Well I mean its not worst case scenarios, is just people disagreeing with me. That just make me think and probably, well definitely too much on decisions. But oh well what can do is where it's at and yeah just aside from that post there.
Well maybe until, and now just aside from that post there- just unwavering in what I'm doing really. In decisions, that sort of thing etc. but yeah seen a need to slow down. And have done that today and well will just see what happens with others

Hey, I get it—it sounds like you’ve got a lot on your mind right now, and it’s tough to shake that anxious feeling. Honestly, it’s great that you’re trying things like meditation and doing what you can to manage it. That takes effort, even if it doesn’t feel like much sometimes.
It’s also good that you’re open to looking at other options and adapting. That’s a solid mindset to have. Just remember, you don’t have to figure everything out all at once. Sometimes it’s about taking it one step at a time, you know?
