I have been isolated since beginning of March and I am not coping very well. I have lost all interest in everything.
I am on medication but it is not helping.
I joined here to talk to people who understand, my Husband tries to help but he does not understand.

So we just talk on the phone.
My daughter was up this way today so we did a high fives on the window and blew plenty of kisses.
She had to pick up something up and rang me on her way.
It was a nice surprise.

Beautiful! At least you got to see her today and that's a small blessing in itself.
Do you have a network of friends you can ring? I find speaking to friends regularly and catching up is a great tonic for the blues. Also give you and hubby something to talk about.
Have you thought about baking cakes etc and then leaving them at the front door for family/friends to pick up? I've tried that and it worked a treat! I cut a little slice out for myself and then we all had a nice cuppa and cake together online. It was lovely.
Do you have access to a computer or just your mobile? If yes, are you computer literate? There's a lot of wonderful things to check out on line and something for everyone's interest.

I have a few friends, 1 of whom I msg each day. I don't have a computer just my phone and tablet.
I am just trying to get back into cooking now.
It was lovely to see my daughter and grandkids even if it was only through the glass.
I am feeling a little better today and Hubby said I sound more positive and not so negative today.
I like knitting so I have started a rug for myself for winter.

Oh WOW! You even sound chirpier today Ellesabu :0)
I'd suggest you also try ringing a different friend each day and say hi! I'm sure they'd love to hear from you and help with their own isolation loneliness.
I absolutely ADORE cooking. It fills my soul. Especially cooking for others. As I said earlier, baking a treat and leaving it at your front door for friends/family really does work. I do it myself once a week and oh boy! di I look forward to seeing those cars come down the driveway :0) You could see your children and grand children just that little bit more.
I've never had the patience for knitting. I'm soooo jealous of you right now. I've always admired people who have the artistic talent and patience to knit or crochet. My mother, god bless her, was an avid knitter and knitted all our jumpers as kids.
I'm so happy you're feeling a bit brighter today. Don't forget to keep coming back with updates of how things are going. I for one would love to keep in touch.
Rumples xoxo

It is also good knowing I am not alone struggling with my depression as not everyone understands why we are like this.

Hi again Ellesabu :0)
Wow wow wow! Look at you go!
Hey, we'll take "feeling positive today" any old day :0) Good on you!
I'm so happy for you that you're getting something from the forums. Aren't they just are a wonderful place to come to? even just for someone to talk to.
Cooking! Don't start me, I love it. It's sooooo good to hear you've got that spark back again and whipped up a meal for you and hubby. I bet his belly is thanking you...hahaha
Looking forward to hearing about tomorrow.
(BIG hug) Rumples

Hello Ellesabu
There is super caring support above from Matchy69 (Mark) and Rumples
I used to have depression and anxiety and its horrible to have..When we are experiencing depression or anxiety trying to control or 'fight' these horrible feelings can be counter productive to the healing process. Any questions are always welcome!. The forums are a safe and non judgemental place for you to post
Great to have you as part of the forum family Ellesabu!
please be gentle to yourself
Paul
