Hi Jenms,

Welcome back, one thing to be sure about is there is people here to listen.

Can you expand on robot mode?

Hope you find some peace as the day progresses, even if only small pieces it can be all we need to push through.

auto pilot, eat, try and sleep, do chores, work. When not forcibly distracted by work or something else just wanting the 'off' button. Work is both hell and the only thing helping in a perverted way because of the distraction. Have a completely non understanding boss, i am good at my job but it is never enough. Went to my bosses boss on monday in desperation and got told 'leave it with me'. Nothing heard since. Other staff have asked to be moved to a different TL for similar reason. i am crying constantly even while talking to clients, shaking badly all the time. Only thing stopping me 'doing the deed' is not having the fail safe way of doing it and my cat! Really cant take much more.

Is there opportunity to apply for a new job?

Also, I highly recommend you reach out to one of the Beyond Blue councilors on 1300 224 636, they are amazing to chat to.

Hi jenms,

Thank you for your post, we are so glad that you've taken a big step in sharing here. We hope you find some comfort in sharing here, and in hearing from our lovely community members, many of whom will be able to relate to what you’ve been through.

We hear that you are going through a really difficult time, it can make life very hard when our job is unbearable. It sounds like you are in survival mode and are probably burnt out from the stress, we know it's hard but please be kind to yourself during this time. If you can take some time off that may give you some time to recooperate, a GP is a great resource for this as they are able to provide you with a medical certificate when you explain how you've been feeling. If you ever want to talk this through with one of the Beyond Blue counsellors, feel free to give us a call on 1300 22 4636, or reach out through Online Chat here.

We also wanted to let you know that if you’re feeling suicidal or are having thoughts about harming yourself, it's important to take immediate steps to keep safe. Lifeline offer crisis support, available 24/7 on 13 11 14, or online: https://www.lifeline.org.au/

Thank you for sharing this and giving this community a chance to offer you their understanding and advice. We’re here to listen and offer support, and you never know how your story might help someone else.

Kind regards,

Sophie M
