Hi I've been on this forum before but it's been a while. I was really well for about 6 mths but in a really bad place at the moment once again I've had depression for 15 years now

I Left my job today as I couldn't cope anymore with the long days and trying to pretend I'm ok whilst being an anxious depressed mess

thanks in advance

Hey Katherine

you are definitely not alone. I'm in your headspace too. Hang in there I've just taken a weeks annual leave to try and turn it around.

Go onto mindspot.org they have an 8 week program that may help you it helped me a year ago and I'm now using the same tools they gave me to try and get ontop of it.

Thinking of you. If you need a link let me know.

Hey Katherine

I understand where you are coming from after having chronic anxiety for 15 years.

The severity of the anxiety/depression can be reduced over time with a solid commitment to super regular therapy

If prescribed medication can also work together with therapy to help you bring some peace back into your life

The medication on its own is a band aid...With therapy they both work very well together 🙂

Seeing a good GP is a great place to start the process.

The rotten feelings will reduce Katherine...

I hope you can let us know how you are going. There are many gentle people that can be here for you that suffer similar degrees of these crappy disorders

my kind thoughts

Hello Cpp,

Is the program free on mindspot.org.au ?

thank you,

PN

Hi Banjoman, yes the Mindspot service is free. Beyondblue is one of the partner organisations supporting this service.

Thank you, Sophine.

I am going to give it ago 🙂

Hi Banjoman,

sorry I took so long to respond but as you are aware yes it's free. I also found out today that if you go to your gp and tell them your problems they can organise a mental hesitate care plan which entitles you to 10 sessions with a psychologist that they recommend some of them depending on their cost will bulk bill.

Hope your well?
