I'm so deep in my depression, I don't do anything anymore.... like at all. I don;t eat, sleep, do assignments, do the things I used to love and I gave up on my dream of singing a few months ago. I can't seem to get myself above it. I am under extreme pressure to the point where I don't want to wake up in the morning and go to school. I'm always handing stuff in late and the thing is I just dont care, My grades are sucking and I want to do something about it but I can't....
Does anyone have an suggestions on how I can cope with the pressure and so i can do the things I love again?

Hey Honeymoon.
Sounds like you're going through a really hard time, so well done for remaining strong.
I know that sometimes when people are depressed, they tend to run pretty low on will power, often finding it easier to just lay back and watch the world go bye. But the thing is, getting up and doing something is a really good way of making yourself feel better. I find that doing nothing allows you're mind to continue circulating around the same thoughts which are making you depressed to begin with. Getting out and about, and doing things that you used to love (even if you don't feel like it) keeps you occupied, and doesn't allow the opportunity for you're mind to dwell on those depressing thoughts.
Also, getting exercise like running, cycling or even just a brisk walk can help people feel much better and more in control. Getting exercise also creates happy hormones like; Serotonin and Endorphins that reduce anxiety, help depression and regulate the mood. Read more about it here:

Lastly, never give up on you're dreams. Someone's dreams are one of the greatest driving forces someone can possess. They guide you, keep you focussed and motivated and give you something to fight fore. Never give up on what you love or what you want to be, because anyone can achieve their goals if they want it enough.
So like I mentioned; make sure you force yourself to get out their and do things that used to interest you. You may not feel like it, but you just have to force yourself to do it. Also, try to get proper hours of sleep, because I find that sleep can affect the way I think and feel in a huge way, and can strongly affect my mood during the day.
If you're still struggling, than perhaps you could visit a GP to get some medication and tips for getting better.
Keep talking about you're feelings with people, whether that be a friend, family member or to an online community. It really helps to talk about you're problems, and there will always be people who understand and can relate to what your going through.
Continue to fight, stay as strong as you have been. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel, if you keep pushing forward, you will reach it sooner than you think. 😉

Dear Erin
Welcome to Beyond Blue and thank you so much for coming here and providing your post.
Things sound absolutely horrible for you – and I’m so glad you’ve taken the step to come here and share things.
In order to get a bit more aware of things with you, I hope you don’t mind that I would like to ask you some questions, so that we can be better informed of your background/situation.
Firstly, is anyone else aware of how low and bad you are feeling? Ie: parents, siblings, friends or teachers?? Because going through this kind of thing on your own is too hard to do on your own.
I also believe with how you’re feeling that you may need to take another positive step forward and that is to try to seek some professional help: through a GP. On this site, Beyond Blue have a list of GP’s available to be searched. The thing with these GP’s is that they are all qualified in helping and dealing with mental health issues and from that, they would be best advised to be able to refer you to an appropriate counsellor and perhaps other forms of assistance for you.
What I hope we can do is to get you back on track – and for you to chase that dream of yours again – which is a brilliant thing. Boy oh boy, I wish I could sing; I’m only good in the car when the volume is up real loud – I think I’m ok, but alas, that’s as far as any praise goes. 😞
Thank you again Erin for posting and I hope to hear back from you real soon.
Neil
