Hi Redman827,
Welcome to BB. I hope you find posting on the forum helpful as I have.
From what you write it does sound like you have a need as you say for help. Have you thought about who might be able to help you? Do you have someone you live with that you can talk to or a family member or friend or have you a doctor that you trust?
I know it can be difficult to ask for help. Let us know how you are going.
Grateful.

dear Redman, welcome to the site and thanks for posting.
With an onslaught of depression happening is such an excruciating feeling, being dragged into a world of despair, the unknown and the lost, it's an awful place to be on your own, you need help, you need assistance and most of all you need support.
Being left by yourself will not help you, although that's what we want and it's so easy to slide under the doona and close the curtains, so please go and see your doctor.
It is hard for us to open up, because we still have the tendency to feel that by having depression we are weak, but no, that's far from being the truth, we have an illness and mental illness can be treated just like other illness's.
Can I please give you some advice as it seems to be the trend, to be careful on which friend you talk to, as normally our friends disappear, but you do need someone to talk to.
There's a lot more in your first comment,so please get back to us and please visit your doctor. Geoff.

Hi Redman827,
Sorry I have not responded earlier. I thought Geoff gave you a pretty good response. There are some things we do not want to talk about even with friends. That is why it may be helpful to talk to a psychologist or counselor. You only need to tell your doctor what your symptoms and ask for a referral.
It can be especially hard to trust if you have a history of being let down or hurt in the past and especially by family members which was my experience. I completed a course of CBT last year to help me find better ways to cope with my life challenges and it took several weeks before I actually trusted the psychologist.
But I am glad I did and I am hoping you can get some help too.
Grateful.
