Welcome to Beyond Blue and thank you for providing your post.
Are you able to share the part about “at one stage, I got it under control”? Was that through professional assistance (GP, psyche, counselling, perhaps meds), exercising, etc??
Do you suffer the guilt as a consequence of having anxiety and depression?
My thoughts on this now are: have you been to see a GP of recent times, as it seems that you should be trying to get in to see a professional in their field to assist you, especially through this time as it seems that you’re really doing things tough at the moment.
My other suggestion for you at the moment would be to try and avoid as much of News items (be it on TV or the newspaper) as possible. When we’re in a fragile state, it doesn’t take much to tip us into a worse space – and as the News is always riddled with so many heart-breaking stories, etc these are things that should be avoided. And it’s a simple procedure. Simply don’t turn the TV on around news time or buy a paper. Just thoughts.
