Hello Me from 63, welcome! Well done for getting your first thread started up. It can be difficult knowing where to start when you first get here, and it sounds like that's the way you're feeling at the moment with everything that's on your mind. You can begin with whatever you'd like to, whenever you're ready.

Hi All,
Why can't depression take a day off! I've been doing well but woke today with the black dog on my chest and in my heart. Today is my birthday and I've never felt more inconsequential...sorry for the downer, just needed put this out there and the chat isn't online yet 🤷♀️

Hello Kit C, happy birthday to you! Feeling the blackness in your heart and weighing on you is difficult on any day of the year, but on your birthday it's extra hard as we feel it is *our* day to celebrate and be celebrated. It sounds like you feel that on today of all days, you feel as if you don't matter. It's a horrible feeling. If you feel like posting more, I do care to hear what's on your mind. There's no need to apologise for how you're feeling.

Hello! I am seeking advice please. My husband has battled depression for 30 years with medical intervention. A year ago He went off all medication which has resulted in a major depressive breakdown. He has seen his Psych and has been put back on medication. He is suffering so much and I don’t know how to help him. He won’t take time off work and keeps pushing himself on. He’s miserable and wants to run away. Financially he is in a rut. How can I offer him hope when there is nothing I can do to change his perspective?

Hi MelC73, welcome to the forums. As you're looking for advice on how you can support your husband, it is best to create your own thread. Replying in others' threads to detail your own problems without providing words of support for the original poster takes things off-topic.
