Hello Fury
Would you like to stop and chat with us for a while? What is happening in your world? Getting through the day can be a challenge but not good if every day is a challenge.
Have you now stopped taking meds and does your GP know this? I haven't asked before as I was not sure why you were no longer taking ADs. May I ask now? I know I had lots of problems with SSRIs. It seemed pill I took had it's own side effect(s). So I stopped taking anything. My GP suggested I try an AD from a different group of antidepressants and wow they work and no side effects. Well one, a dry mouth and I can live with that.
Actually it was literally 'live' because I was such a mess from different causes. If you are finding it hard to take ADs because of side effects perhaps you can chat with your doctor about trying something different. I know most, if not all, of us here would prefer not to take medication. It does appear to add to the distress of being depressed and in a way brand us.
If your doctor feels it would help you can you make a long appointment and talk about this. I am still the same me, or rather the me I was before I became depressed. This medication has given me so much relief and I feel it has helped me become motivated to get well more quickly. So if you have stopped taking meds because of any perceived negative effect from others, will you please reconsider?
Mary
