Advice dealing with anger and stress

I have depression and have pills. The past few years I find myself getting angry a lot of the time. I just cannot cope with incompetence or mediocrity anymore. I have so much anger I try to deal with and it gets my blood pressure right up. I am already on high meds and I check it all the time. I exercise really hard each day and eat a reasonable diet. I seem to be ok until something goes wrong and then I get so frustrated. It can be simple things like people not paying attention in the traffic, or badly designed websites, store people getting my order mixed up.

Any advice would be appreciated. I feel like I am going to explode.

Hi Lesdave, I feel anger is a reflex we use to defend ourselves from pain. We all have an idea of how things should work but when they don't go according to plan it can leave you feeling powerless. This is when your brain's bodyguard steps in.

We set unrealistic expectations of ourselves and others. We need to cut ourselves and each other some slack and not be so quick to make judgements.

Hi lesdave, welcome

I like Guests reply, being judgemental has a lot to do with intolerance.

Thete can also be a mental reason for this. I have depression anxiety dysthymia and bipolar. Bipolar requires mood stabilizers and my own discipline in not over reacting.

Your issue certainly warrants medical consultation. Have a chat to your GP. Your insight into your problem is a great start.
