Worst Joke Wednesday

Hi all

I know a while back there was a thread with some jokes on it - just to try and lighten the load for folk and to provide a few jolly japes and spiffy spifferoons (those words etched in my memory bank from the late and great Kenny Everitt).  However, I was far to lazy to try and find the other thread, so thought I'd start up a new one WJW.

Here we go people, something to start you off with:

"When I was a small boy, I had a dog named Tax.  I'd open the door and "Income Tax""

"That very same year, I had a bird called Enza.  I'd open the window and "Influenza"

Now, they can't be done on any other day - for it is after all, Worst Joke Wednesday.

See if you can beat either of those?

Well, you got it,  try this:

What 8 letter word can have one letter taken away and it still makes a word. Keep on taking one letter at a time away and every time you have a fresh word. (must admit I had help wiht this one)

(Sorry, day late as usual:(

Hi Croix. [Grinning LRC, looking at Croix], do the remaining letters make new words with or without changing their order?

[Grinning LRC turns to look at Fiatlux], "Good one!!" [LRC raises a forepaw for a high-5 with Fiatlux]

Dear LRC (and Fiatlux)

No the letters remain in the same order, just one missing  in each word (except the very last one)

Croix 🙂

Yeah, Croix, good one, but that was too tough for me to chew on & break down, even with my

fine incisors.

That tasted a little funny…
