It would be so great to have a thread here where we can chat about almost anything. We can have fun, tell jokes, share stories, you name it!
There's a "BB Cafe" thread in the general area where lots of people chat daily and have established some nice light hearted conversations, it's treated as if it's a real cafe, there's even virtual baked goods and coffee!
Let's create a chat here for anyone to join, in particular the GLBTIQ community to let their collective hair down and chill out. It's a safe space to be yourself.
We just need a name 🙂

Hi Sarah . Was wondering how you were getting on with the lockdown , also hesitant to mention it as I got the feeling that it was sometimes a struggle , that I did not want to exacerbate . Hope it will be the last one .
Always wanted to run but never quite got there . My last wife ( that sounds awful ) used to do triathlons . she did iron man in 2011 I think . I was the crew ( go to the transitions and make sure all the gear for the next bit was where it was expected to be . Sometimes feels like a lifetime away .
Not sure if I mentioned it but I have Crohns disease ( old cronies I call it ) and it is mild but slowly in my case is eating at joint material and giving me osteoarthritis in most of my joints . The impact of running would hasten the loss of mobility . Like that's not immanent for me but it will happen if I live long enough . The recumbent trike is awesome , really good and fun to ride .
Being that it surprised me that I got past 30 I certainly have had a good innings. ( am way past thirties by the way ) Crap childhood but a blessed life . Grew up near Melb . Local grocer had a horse trough and hitching rail outside his shop . Ran away and never looked back just before 14th birthday .
The weather down your way looks clear for now . Hope you got outside today . Little Dog got a walk at the hospital in small ( way bigger than here )( about 900 people ) town where we do day to day shopping ( 45 Km). Went to the hospital to see a dietician today .
It is truly a blessing to be here , have never encountered such a beautiful group of humans that support each other and are so respectful , kind and caring . People of the Rainbow
Thank you Sarah for chatting , thanks to all those who visit and all those who make it possible .
Love and hugs , Jo W & LD

Good Morning to you too Jo and little dog and I am sure you are there too..lol
I have a pretty quiet day as I am working from home today so just about to fire up the kettle and have the first of many coffees for the day..lol
The sun is out and the birds are singing and it is a great day to do...well whatever the day brings...
I am going for a walk this afternoon with a friend so that will be lovely but otherwise just a pretty casual day I think.
Oh I will get the bed sheets washed...just in case you were interested..lol..it is a great washing day here.
Chat soon

Enjoy the walk , skies in the south are looking clear on satellite that I use ( remember local conditions can vary ).

Oooh Ham radio..I have a story about that too..
See my father went to the Antarctic, many time actually, he is a meteroligist.
When I was young the only way we had to communicate was to go to a person's home who had a ham radio. All the families would go there at a specific time and we would line up and talk to our loved ones who were based in the Antarctic. It went like this:
"Hi dad"
"Hi, how are you"
"Good"
next person in line:
"Hi dad"
"How are you?"
"Good"
LOL..you get the idea...he has retired now and technology has come a long way but it is interesting to hear the word ham radio.

Yeah I have some really cool memories of my childhood, some not so cool but hey....I guess we all have some of that too.
You sure sound like you have a whole swag of stuff in your bag too, from what you have said about running away at 14 and also with Crohns....I was tested for that and even put on medication, it messed with me so very badly that they had to take me off the meds! Turns out I didn't have it anyway...sigh.
Well the washing is going well in other news, lol..what a sad life when you get excited for having done three loads and it is all out drying nicely....lol

We all do have many memories , I find comforting though that I seem to forget the bad, ones somehow ? I guess that there, are some constraints here ( for safety and anonymity ) that means there are gaps in some conversations ( I get that to ) so they could seem a bit disjointed . Having a vague attack ! Had this one all figured out and was writing it when my friend turned up at the hospital 3 hrs ago . He is area mental health nurse . When he comes to that town ( nearest to me ) on Thursday's if he has time he either comes out here or T & I go in and we chat for an hour or two in the hospital gardens .
I do hope you have scored the walk with your friend this afternoon . Washing should be dry by now to .
Xxx Jo& LD
Ps enjoy chatting , tell me if to much .

Hi Sarah , all OK for you ( hug ) good morning . 0500 here . question : when they treated you for Crohns , do you remember what drug it was that made you so sick ?
Same old here , just different day , still ends in a y ? Lol and hope our chats haven't triggered any unwanted feelings .
