The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.
The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.
Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...
So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...
Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open
At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe

Hi Grandy
When it was hot here, I made several boiled eggs in advance, so I coulld make quick egg & lettuce sandwiches. sometimea I add some of the Dukka mix or pesto. 1 egg & a few small leaves of the Gem lettuce I've been having lately are more than enough for a sandwich, so (heheh) I've got a bit of salad on the side (i.e. spilling out of my sandwich).
I also like simple tomato sandwiches. But also I like to slice up a little capsicum & add some feta cheese to them too.
If I was to do a ham, cheese & tomato sandwich,it's got to be toasted. There is something about that combination that works on my taste buds - I don't know why, but it's so much better when toasted. I know melted cheese has something to do with it, but that's not all. It's a real mystery to me, some magic I don't care to solve.
I know the feeling of not being able to do much while injured. I want to suggest walking, but I think that might jar your shoulders & arms too much. What do you think? Or doing leg exercises while sitting or when lying down?
Ooo late! I have to get up fairly early. I only hope it's not before 6am when I do.
Goodnight, everyone & hugzies

Hi Moon
I'm not sure why you are seeing Oldest to Newest & not being able to change the order. Have you contacted modsupport about that?
You might like to try to find the page numbers below the last post on a page & see how the page number you are on is highlighted, & click on a page number at the far end of that one.
I'm getting used to how a couple threads here show up around page 6 or near the end. However, I have been able to change the order, by going back & forth between Oldest to Newest & Newest to Oldest a couple times. When see it is set to Newest to Oldest, it finally seems to be okay, but for these couple threads.
Had this, the BB Cafe thread turned up Newest to Oldest for you, Moon?
Tonight I feel like something sweet & creamy or with icing ... oh dear, but it is nice I can have such unhealthy things here! I once had an apple turnover, which didn't have much apple, but too much icing. Another time I tried a roll with apple & thick whipped cream, & again, so little apple & so much cream! The sweet bread-like bun would be enough, if there had been more apple. but no cream.
Hugzies

Hello Dear Paul, mmMeKitty, Hams, Moon and everyone…🤗..
Very sad news about Barry Humphris, he was an Australian icon…loved my so many…he surely will be missed by many…The characters he created, which brought laughter to millions of people will live on…He was a unique person with a beautiful soul….
RIP..Barry Humphries…
Thank you for the sandwich suggestions mmMeKitty, I do like egg and lettuce along with Cheese and Tomato….
I do have my little pedal thingy out that I’m using occasionally..not enough really but enough for now…
I bought some garlic bread at the supermarket a few weeks ago…I toasted it, and bought heaps in for those who like Garlic Bread…it’s nice an hot, crispy and yummy 🤤…
When I was a young child, I remember every Sunday..we had a roast, usually chicken with roasted potatoes, pumpkins and steamed vegetables all smothered in Gravy…I think a lot of people did this as a family sit down meal….does anyone do or still does the Sunday roast or is that a tradition that’s long gone?
Enjoy your day everyone….
Hugs,
Grandy..

Grandy, & everyone,
Garlic bread & crumbed fish are a really good sandwich or roll, (if your garlic bread is a long roll).
I used to go to a certain place near the river, & buy the garlic bread from one place, then walk to another shop, two shops along, & buy my grumbed fish, put them together &, later, after discovering aloli, i'd add that too. One of my favourite things to do back then.
Now the shops have changed hands, & I can't do that there anymore.
If I found another place with a pizza place very near to a good fish & chips takeaway, I'd do that again, every now & then.
Hopefully, I'd find a place outside where I could sit & listen to the birds while I ate.
If you are interested, The Australian War Memorial has the official recipe for ANZAC Biscuits.
Anyone baking?

Sitting around today, computer stuff to sort out, so a late light lunch. I had a quick salad sandwich. Rice & veg for my dinner. I very much enjoyed my simple meals sometimes.
Now it's getting late again, & definitely time for bed.
I'll get in a good workout tomorroe, for sure. I'll be thinking about how little activity I did today. That will motivate me to put more effort into my workout.
Hugzies, Paul, Moon, Grandy, HanSolo ... oh, everyone, hugzies to you all.
