The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.
The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.
Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...
So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...
Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open
At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe
Important Message from ModSupport:

Happy New Year to to you, too, Paul! [Grinning LRC, rushes to greet Paul]
Haven't seen you around for a while - how are you? I hope you had a peaceful & fun Christmas.
I've been researching & deciding on a new vacuum cleaner, since mine has quit. I got to the point where I was going to try to vacuum because of hoe much grit I'm walking on, despite how loud my vacuum cleaner is, & it made no sound at all! Kaput!
Whenever I stop a moment to think about it, in the whole big wide world scheme of things, I can't complain about all that much; I think I'm very grateful for what I have.

Hello everyone…🤗..
Happy New Year Paul…yes your so right in saying times fly…I find the older I get, the quicker the years pass by….which seems silly to even say because time is always the same amount of time😁..Hmm did I say that right…
I’m pleased you found some of Melanie’s songs…I do like “Tuning my Guitar”…and the meaning behind her words…I did sit out on my veranda and listened to some of the Woodstock songs…I made some Jelly earlier and added that to fruit salad and custard…I started eating it at a couple of minutes to midnight then was still eating it this year….😂😂…
Im sorry your vacuum cleaner decided it wanted to rest forever….I do hope you can get another one soon….I have a vacuum that I use at times, but having mainly vinyl floor tiles I gently sweep them then mop them over, when I’m feeling up to doing it….
I bought some pocket bread, 😂…it’s a flat bread with a slit in to to fill it up with good things…what are they going to think of next😂😂?…I brought them in with lots of different salad ingredients so we all can make our own signature pocket bread type of sandwich…
It’s hot here today, much to hot to be outside….I think summer is good if you live next to a body of water…where it’s easy to cool off by taking a swim…I will hang my hose onto my clothes line, set the nozzle on spray, then stand under it and have an outdoor shower….well not really a shower, no soap or anything..just stand under it a bit with my costumes on to cool off…..😂😂..then onto my back veranda with a nice cold lemon soda water….I did make one out back of the BB Cafe…under that beautiful Peppercorn Tree…I moved some chairs their as well so you don’t need to stand under it….you can sit down under the water spray and enjoy the cool water…maybe get a bubble machine to make bubbles, a water proof book or even a few rubber duckies to watch as they float on the puddles the water makes…
Love and hugs to you all…I do hope your day is filled with peace and happy thoughts..
Grandy..
Hope everyone is having a good day and staying as cool as they can…

[Grinning LRC from ear to ear & back around again] Excellent, Grandy. That's a great idea. Do your furbabies like to play with water from the hose? Or do they roll around in the puddles? Or chase the rubber ducks?
Look after your skin in the sun, eh?
What I like about the pocket bread is that I am not dropping so much of my lunch on the floor.
When I had a support worker from another company, some years ago now, the company offered clients the use of a robovac. I tried it, & the thing kept getting stuck under a few things I had, & it also would start up in the middle of the night, & begin to bump around the small storeroom where I kept it & the docking station it was supposed to be resting on, when I didn't want it running. When fully recharged, it was supposed to simply shut down until I pressed a button on it. I was always listening for when it would get stuck or for when it would start all by itself/
It couldn't have picked up all Mekitty's hair, but I do wonder what she would have made of it, if I had still had it when I brought her home.
I can imagine her chasing it around, even pouncing on it, when she was a little kitten.
Of-course, all I need is a vacuum which will pick up MY haiir from the floor.

Hello! Hello! OTr & Jackson. [Grinning LRC]*
Sorry Jackson, I don't recall seeing you around, so I'm thinking you were posting more before I joined BB Sept 2021. How are you doing, Jackson? could you do with a late night cuppa?
& one for you, too, OTR?
I've got some Edamame to snack on, if you'd like.
I have a new vacuum cleaner. I decdided to trust my support worker & her hubby & bought one just like theirs. I can't quite figure out how to put all the bits together, even though the fellow in the shop was happy to show me, to let me feel, where things are, how to use & open the filters & how to empty it, & where the small socket is for the cord to recharge it. I check out what's in the nox, & a few bits are odd & I dn't know where they fit. I'll have to wait until my support worker comes round to my place to help me.
One good thing I know: it won't be as noisy as my old machine.
Anyway, wish you, OTR & Jackson, a bright & peaceful New Year.
Hugzies

* LRC = Little Red Cat, like Mekitty in my picture, although, to be honest, she was not so little after a few years with me - more like a Large Red Cat.
