The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.

The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.

Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ... 

So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...

I managed to find my way onto here.Yes it is very confusing and hard to use.It seemed a lot simpler before.If I am trouble I wonder what new users will think that are looking for support.You don't want something hard when you are struggling

Hi everyone,

I am new to the cafe, but not new to the forums.

I am having my first and probably only coffee for the day. Brewed this a little too strong. 

Working from home today and waiting for a repair guy to call. Waited all day yesterday and he was a no show. I hope that he is ok.

Contemplating breakfast now. 

This cafe is so much nicer than the other socials.

Yes, the new forum is confusing, I am having trouble as well. Me, I think that I might hate change, that it isn't broken, why fix it. However I will get used to the forum, I'll keep logging on. Not so miserable today yesterday in the sunshine state was the coldest in 22 years!

I'm sitting here with a lovely green tea and cinnamon scone for a treat. The cafe is bathed in brilliant light and there is a bit of jazz on. You should all come on down.

In my profile pages I found 'Notifications, & had one, but I hadn't actually posted a reply to the person mentioned in the notification.

I think a main, 'Follow This Discussion' & the other near a pearson's name would be if you want to 'Follow This  Person' would have been clearer, if indeed that is what each 'Follow' is for.... I'm still not sure of the difference either.

Not a real red heart, but I might have some sparkling Hearts for you all.  💖💖💖

& I can't use the right click / Alt key to bring up the menu of options I have for where I'm typing. I' bounced out & the choices are related to the tool bar above... 😾

Good morning everyone and especially mmMekitty,

My glorious pink gecko is an amazing piece of original artwork. She’s handmade from pressed metal, inlaid with enamel and also painted. The piece was created by a brilliant Indigenous artist. I was fortunate to see the piece in the making and bought it immediately. The photo doesn’t do justice to her true brilliance. She about 50cm long and hands in my front room. I love looking at her. I struck up a friendship with the artist in 2018 and we keep in touch and since have commissioned other pieces from him.

I have learnt that in his Aboriginal / Indigenous Culture the Gecko is the protector of the home, so when my daughter and son in law moved overseas, I had 2 more amazing Geckos made as a house warming gift for them and sent them overseas. My American son in law loves Indigenous art as does my daughter. 

Well that’s my Gecko story.

Yes it's tricky isn't it, getting used to things here.  I hope everyone's OK.  We are getting down to zero degrees tonight where I live, and my electric blanket has just decided to expire!  I'm getting out the old hot water bottle...

What's the weather like where you are Mark?  Have you been getting a lot of rain?
