To my fellow BB Forum regulars...

Though it is not a frequent event, it does happen from time to time. One of us are deeply moved by another's insightfullness, sincerity, caring, and general selfless nature. Often it is okay to make mention of them directly on the thread where it happened, and sometimes doing so may seem a bit off topic... and therefore inappropriate to do so in that instance.

I think it is very important that we pay heed to those who have made a profound and lasting impression upon us. As in doing so, we help each other rise our heads above the doom and gloom of our problems, and for a moment in time, feel happy about ourselves once again. So I am starting this thread where we can give each other a pat on the back for a job well done.

And I start this day with a BIG thank you to my friend Paul (a.k.a. BlondGuy) for his comments on the "We all of talk of racisim..." thread. You have really made me feel like a welcome member of this community.

Hi Subdued Blues,

Nice idea!

I personally have too many people that I would like to thank and don't want to run the risk of forgetting anyone. With that in mind, thank you EVERYONE!

You're ALL amazeballs!

Today I would like to honor Just Sara, for her warm, kind and tender heart. She actively engages with many people, new and regulars alike. I often find myself looking to reading her next post... as I know it's going to be wonderful and leave me in awe.

Thank you for being here with us Sara, you make the world a nicer and a brighter place. 🙂

Hey SB

You are spot on about Sara

Her kindness is an innate gift

My dearest Anthony;

We sometimes talk on here about accepting complements without feeling adversely about it. Some find it difficult due to self worth or confidence issues.

I on the other hand, take tremendous pride in accepting words of praise that come my way. Knowing you (Anthony) have given freely of your gratitude and well wishes, can only serve to build my resolve and resilience up. This encouragement isn't taken lightly, because coming from you, a man I admire and respect, it's an incredible honour indeed.

We lead by example, so I look to you also as a mentor and role model. The past few days I've faced an important aspect of myself that was bought to my attention by your bravado; disclosing very painful events from your past. Not everyone is capable of this, so I applaud you as well as bow with respect and gratitude.

I thank you...language sometimes limits our expression of what we feel inside. It's a powerful, physical and emotional yearning inside, trying to 'give back' at the same level we've been helped. I feel this way.

I hear your praise, acknowledge it and accept it with pleasure.

Dearest Paul;

Reading your response about me to Anthony gave me a great sense of achievement. You've been in my sphere on BB since mid last yr, supporting and encouraging me thru thick and thin. Your writing style matched my needs perfectly at times I most needed it. I looked up to you as a CC, and when appointed, I followed your lead to discover my own talents.

So it's also an honour to receive kudos from you, one of my hero's. Thankyou deeply Paul...

Hi everyone,

So it seems I'm going back on my word about not naming specific people ha, ha. Oh dear...I'm terrible...

Anyways, the people that I wanted to thank are the Youth Champions. Shoutout to you guys!

So here's a thank you and 👏👏👏 to romantic thi8f, Pat, Zeal (she's technically a CC but she's still under 25) and I'm pretty sure there are others.

I just have a questionable memory- it says nothing about the YCs and everything about my memory.

Thanks for doing the rounds and especially in the Young People section!

Hey Dottie

Good on you for mentioning the Youth Champions...you make a good point.

Congrats too on your 1000+ Posts 🙂 I hope you can write to Christopher Banks about you becoming appointed as a CC or a YC. Anyhoo...thats your call. I understand the commitments you have at Uni Dottie...If you change your mind just send Chris an email. You never know what will happen!

You come across as a YC and a CC to me...That much I do know

my kindest

Paul

(Excuse me Anthony for Hijacking your thread)

Hi Paul (shoutout to SB + anyone else reading),

Thank you very much for the kindness and encouragement. You've been very supportive of me from my earliest days on BB. As for applying for a YC/CC, you're right, uni and my other commitments are still considerations at this stage. In saying that, thanks heaps for the vote of confidence! Thanks again 😊

In the mean time, the current CCs and YCs are doing an awesome job so you guys keep at it!

Hi Paul

It's not my thread, rather a thread that I started for all to use to pay homage to those who go above and beyond to better and improve this community. Just as you have done for Dottie (which she is deserving of, btw)
