Hey! Welcome to Friends Cafe.

This is a chill and chat space for young BB members to talk about anything and everything and make new friends.

When school's getting to you, uni or work has got you down, parents, partners, friends don't understand, and especially if you're feeling alone or lonely - come and relax awhile and talk to others who know just how you feel.

Our minds can cause us trouble, but they can also be amazing things that imagine beauty, love and fun. This cafe has everything you can imagine. To start with it's, well, a cafe. So there's chairs and tables, comfy couches for flopping, a big screen tele, unlimited download on computers for games, Spotify (or an old-school jukebox if you prefer), every movie you can think of on instant demand ... whatever you want, it's here. Post and tell us what'd you'd like.

Plus, there's an infinite menu of whatever food or drinks takes your fancy. And it's all free!

To kick it off, today we have a special range of Monster Milkshakes - those thick gooey shakes topped with cronuts, chocolate bars, cake, cookies ... whatever you want. And if you can get through one of them, you're a legend (and probably feeling a little bit sick LOL!)

Welcome friends.

Hi everyone

I had a good Australia day. Just drove up to Noosa with a friend and went to the beach.

I have been a bit bored this week. Haven't had work this last week which sucked.

wowza.....I haven't been here for a while, which I suppose is a good thing.

how is everyone doing? I think I've been MIA for a good 6 months haha, sorry for disappearing, I just wasn't finding the time to read and post.

for anyone who remembers me: I'm in year 11 now, single again and still loving and living through music. on a darker note; i've had lots of ups and down, where each up and each down are lasting longer, however the past month I've just generally been pretty low. (TW) I'm still self-harming, although I have been seeing a psychologist for some time now. yet I don't feel she's really helping...? I feel that she thinks I'm less severe than I am, and she mostly just works on trying to fix my relationship with my mum...which I really don't care about whatsoever.

anyway ! nice to come back to the cafe, thought I'd just give a quick update x T

HI dark unicorn and welcome back!

Sometimes I don't have time to come back to the forums. Especially since in the last month I have started a new job, so been a bit busy. (also one person just decided to go down from part time to casual so we are a bit short staffed)

How is school going? I remember it starting to get a bit full on in year 11. Probably the time it took the most adjusting.

So it is good you are still seeing a psychologist. It can be hard because you we tend to worry they either think we are more severe than we are, or not severe enough. It can take some time for us to feel like you are in agreement to what state your mental health is in at the time. However I would try not worry to much about this. As long as you are getting the right therapy and they are helping you, that's all that matters. When I started seeing this psychologist (note seen a few as have moved etc) she told me that I should come in and kinda lead the therapy session. SHe told me I should try come in staying what I want to discuss and work on. It is ok to say to your psychologist, hey I want to talk about htis or work on this today. Or I feel like we have talked about mum for a bit, and I wanna work on this as well.

So everyone, Are you excited about the commonwealth games? I am so pumped to see the netball!! I am going in person. I am so pumped

Hey Ms purple and dark_unicorn

I haven't been on cafe for a while now

Had a minor relapse and ended up in hospital over the previous weekend. My mind has been all over the shop with the changes kicking in. So much going on that I need to stay on top of

@dark_unicorn remember that you can change psychologists at lib if you think the one you are seeing is not helpful enough. You are under no obligation to stay with a psych that is not working for you at this time. I am on my fifth one now and it is working wonders. I can't recommend change enough. Do what you gotta do to get better.

Btw year 11 is the year to make it count. Form good habits now and you will find year 12 easier. If I could tell myself that way back when I was in year 11 I would. I would also say stop playing call of duty so much lol.

Hope your new job is treating you well ms purple.

Hi Ham

Sorry to hear you havd a minor relapse and was in hospital. Hope you are doing well now. Change can be hard to handle. I recenty started a new job. As good as it is, adjustments do take some time. I try talk it over with my psychologist especially when I feel overwhelmed.

So have you guys seen the new avengers trailer? Also fantastic beasts trailer? I am so excited. Two good films coming out soon

I am embarrassed to say I have not finished the first fantastic beasts. I really liked the opening but then we had to go somewhere and I've never gotten around to finishing it!

But yes, I've seen the new fantastic beasts trailer and it looks good 🙂 Though I was hoping for a darker version of the story. I think they could do a really good gritty film about Grindelwald

And no i haven' tseen the latest avengers, but I'm generally really behind on those films. I've missed ragnarok, civil war, antman and black panther now. 😞 i have lots of movie catching up to do.

Hey there cafe-ites

Hope you are all well.

I have been a bit busy lately with figuring things out.

Struggling with loneliness lately though. Pretty horrible feeling.

At least I have a good place to start off in terms of career and such.

How is everyone? Looking forward to the autumn weather?

Take care

hiya James,

yes I love cats, I have 2 myself. I'm a bookworm, and JK rowling has an inspiration to me even since I started writing short stories.

HamSolo01, I am very sick recently, however I'm really looking forward to the autumn weather.

Luci.
