Caution, a confronting scene
Alfie (1966)
Michael Caine, Millicent Martin, Julia Foster and Jane Asher star in this portrait of a young totally selfish man who uses everyone, but ends up alone

Blueback (2022)
I haven’t seen the movie but I read the book by Tim Winton some years ago and enjoyed it. It’s about a boy and his mother who live by the ocean and the friendship he develops with a blue groper fish. They are known for being quite sensitive fish that actually form bonds with humans. I remember reading about that years ago when I read a book by Albert Falco who worked on Jacques Cousteau’s boat.
Croix, I saw a more recent film called Alfie with Jude Law in the lead role. I realise from your description it’s probably a remake of that 1966 one. I remember finding it kind of sad and depressing that the character of Alfie treats people the way he does and seems to take a very long time to grasp that being selfish is not only awful but also ultimately isolating.
