I thought I would have plenty to do
can’t sleep properly awake every 2hours and feel exhausted.
can’t eat properly as I can’t make up my mind what I want to eat. I keep renumerating all the time about things that happened long ago and it’s driving me nuts.

Hi, welcome
I also still go over my regrets in the many workplaces I worked at, many times over. You dont mention any hobbies and that is the key to weaning you off the working life.
Sports, golf, barracking for a footy team and the mens shed is popular even for a cuppa.
One problem I've found is that people grow up with a passion attached like a hobby or sport, but those without a natural developing passion cannot actually grow one. Thats why those people need several interests rather than a passion that is more an obsessive interest.
In the warmer months you'll see the older folk (like me) clogging the highways caravanning up north. So this desire to head for the camping sites has merit as its a good way to spend time in nature. Hobbies are less frequent for those nomads and are restricted to bird watching, photography, bbq's and fishing.
I hope that helps.

Hi Beary.
Im sorry to read of your battles since retirement.
Im going through similar myself since leaving a job due to mental health and anxiety. Im 58 but im not sure about which way to head.
With the ruminating i think its important to remember that we all do the best we can at any given time in the past but times were different then.
Work has especially been a real tough one for me and yes i wish i had done so many things differently. One being studied harder at school but i was immature and never stopped to think about the future . Its just the way it was for me so i just have to accept it.
Hope youre day is a good one. Happy to talk more.

I have many hobbies sewing , knitting , painting but can’t seem to choose one to do at the moment. I’m having a MRI tomorrow as I have chronic pain in the back of my head and depression so drs want to check it all out. My husband is getting so annoyed with me because so many things are happening financial also trying to work out how my super will work for me.
I have found a volunteering job which keeps me engaged with people 2 times a week. I’m also seeing a phycologist who has helped me before. I think this is going to take time for me as usually 2 or 3 sessions is all I need. Hope you find your way too
bye for now

You might consider withdrawing some super to relieve your finances. This is commonly done. A financial planner is worth their weight in gold
