Hi everyone
im new to this forum. I'm sarah, I've suffered with anxiety for about 4 years but am currently severely anxious and depressed. On medication now for roughly 6 months I feel so alone as no one understands how or why I feel this way. I'm now at a point where I constantly feel sick and anxious and just want it to stop. I hope this forum helps me in some way.

HI Pink and welcome to the BB forums.
Sorry to hear you are struggling with being severely anxious. I myself have GAD and was officially diagnosed in 2015. I still have my ups and downs but I find it easier to deal with and live with now with the right support and team. Have you told your dr and therapist how you have been feeling lately? I find that when I am going through a rough patch it is good to talk to my dr as they can determine if the current treatment is still working or something else needs to be done to help me out of a rough spot.
Do you make sure you do self care? I try have a bath, meditate, read a book or deep breath when I feel really anxious. I find it helps calm me down to
SO the answer is that it does take time. Yes anxiety sucks. I know first hand. For me I kinda think of mental illness as like the weather. It maybe stormy but eventually becomes sunny again. It may get stormy again but with help you will have an umbrella and a rain coat. It does get easier but no one has sunny days every day

Hi pink, welcome
It took me 25 years to fully rid my life of anxiety.
Like many illnesses it is best multi tackled.
Therapy
Appropriate medication
Lifestyle changes
Spiritual peace
Exercises
In my case muscle tensioning exercises help me the most. Done just prior to sleeping it takes 20 minutes and helps you sleep better.
Google it or seek out a therapist.
Some threads that might help. Use google

G'day pink your not alone. Most of us in here who have anxiety understant it. Most who don't have it don't fully understand it. Because thoes who have it know how hard it is to shake it. We are friendy in here and try to bolster each other up. There are a few of us who either ask for help on issues. Plus others who offer advice. So feel free to ask for help or give advice.

It's nice knowing you are not alone. I also love the fact there is a fellow colour named user. Purple is my favourite colour, I think it's because it is a mix of red and blue (and it also is similar to pink).
I find the irrational thoughts horrible too. I try and meditate and try to meditate to help stop my racing mind. I also hate the intrusive thoughts. But I find with more treatment and self care it gets easier. Yeah some days are worse and others are great. Hang in there.

Hello Pink_Chaos...
I’m sorry your feeling so horrible...
Did you go off your meds under your Drs. supervision or went off on your own?...
Either way I feel it’s best if you could make an appointment and talk about how going off your meds is effecting you..and if your not wanting to go back onto them your Dr. might know of an alternative way to help you with your mh...
Please dear Pink Chaos, keep us updated on how your going, wecare here to help support you as best we can..
My kind thoughts and care..
Grandy..
