so frustrated. after weeks of regular panic attacks, I felt calm for a few days . Not happy but at least calm and feeling that i might be regaining a bit of control on my way to crawl out of the black hole.
Well guess not, two nights of poor sleep (bloody mind keeps going in circles) and I just broke down again today. so over it. why cant life just be a bit more easy.
rant over

Isn't it amazing that the people you'd expect to be the most helpful sometimes aren't and then we're surprised by support and help from someone else out of the blue.
Thats great that your manager was so supportive and you're right, sometimes you're shown that other people are able to cope and it gives you hope. If they can do it, so can you.
I hope that some changes at work are helpful for you.
I find that just the right amount of pressure at work is actually helpful because it keeps my mind busy.

dear All, this is a rather distressing post, because there are a few issues that are affecting you all, and don't worry I had them too.
With sleeping you need something like music to distract yourself from 'thinking a million miles an hour', because you're lying in bed, we all think about our negative thoughts, so try a radio station that you like and listen only to the songs, not about anything else, you may cry but what's wrong with doing that.
People sitting on the train/tram who all look as though they have no problems, don't worry a large amount of the are putting on a brave face, probably only hoping that they could make friends with someone and tell them exactly how they feel, but they are too scared to even raise the discussion.
With a boss who understands how you are feeling only because they have been through it themselves is a bonus, rather than a parent who works in the mental industry who doesn't, and I would expect this to be so, because she/he has to work with people who are mentally disturbed and definitely has no patience with them, so this feeling would continue when they leave work, in other words they can't understand what depression can do to people. Geoff.
