My understanding is that weight loss is quite common with our ilness.
Over an short period, I too suffered significant weight loss (approx 18%). All the same symptoms (plus more) that you are going through. Also had all the blood tests for thyroid etc. The weight loss has now stabilised.
So provided you are under medical care, and continue to monitor, it should settle down. But you must continue to eat properly even though (like me) you have no appetite.

I absolutely can relate to this!
I was tested for everything under the sun when I was first trying to find out what was wrong with me. I have blood tests, xrays, ultrasounds - you name it my doctor did it! All to reassure me that physically there was nothing wrong with me. It wasn't until I started to run out of things to ask my doctors about that they suggested I might have anxiety.
I was put on a low dose of anti depressants and started Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and after a while I started to feel better. Calmer.
The racing heart beat and sick feeling in my stomach lessened. The CBT taught me how to control my panic attacks by controlling my breathing. "Just breathe" became my mantra.
I also experienced weight loss during the time of all of the tests, before I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression.
I was paranoid that every little thing might make me sick. So I live off of bread and water. It's no way to live and looking back now I wonder how I could let myself do it.
It will get better. If you need your doctors to test you for things, then get them to do it. It will put your mind at ease. Mental illness is difficult to come to terms with. For me it was because it wasn't something physically happening to me I couldn't comprehend it. My doctor then described it to me as a chemical malfunction in my brain. Just having that physical image - a scientific explanation - really helped me come to terms with it.
From my experience weight loss is a normal symptom of stress and anxiety. Keep talking about it with your doctor and family. It's important to build a support team around you. And of course you have your own support team here on the forums, too.
Good luck, please message back and let me know how you get on.
Best Wishes, J x

MissA
I suggest a dietian for a high energy diet, the anxiety makes your metabolism speed up. I know I have been there!!
You have a lot going on so allow yourself a few momements to just breath, in for 4, hold for 4, out for 4 and hold for 4, then think of your wonderful husband and then try to tackle the issues causing the stress, one at a time, repeat if needed.

Hi - my first reply went 'missing' so I try again.
I am doing CBT separately with the psych. I decided to try moodgym just to see what I might expect. I has also been mentioned to me by the psych - so I assume it is pretty reputable.
enjoy
