Does anyone know how to combat this?

Hi all,

So the past few months I've been getting bad anxiety and nausea in the mornings. I know the nausea is triggered by the anxious feelings I get in my stomach and chest. It's making it really hard for me to get out of bed in the morning. If anyone else has gone through this and found things that help I'd love to hear from you

hello Maryjane, welcome to the site, we know it's an awful feeling and there will be plenty of people replying to your post, but you must go and see your doctor, who may prescribe you some benzo's and maybe antidepressants as well.
That's only half the problem because you need to talk to a counsellor about your anxiety, why it happens, when it happens and what are your trigger points.
So if you can get back to us that would be great, we want to help you with a little more information about your circumstances. Geoff.

Hi Geoff,

Thanks for your reply. I'm on antidepressants (which only seem to help with my depression), and I have benzos, but Im reluctant to take them, as I don't want to become reliant on them. I have an appointment with my psychologist next week, so hopefully that will help.

Hi Maryjane93, we're going to close this thread off as you already have open several threads on similar topics.

When seeking support on the forums, we really encourage members to use one thread rather than starting new ones all the time.  It's really difficult for the community to keep up with your story if you have a lot of threads going at once, and you may find yourself having to repeat information if your story is spread across the forum - sometimes our members will be repeating themselves as well if it's an issue you've had previously.

Help us to support you by keeping to one thread, even if you're returning here after a period of time.  There's a lot of value in seeing how someone's story evolves over time, and when facing a new crisis it's helpful to scroll back and see how you've coped previously.
