Hi All,
How do/does everyone deal or manage the constant feeling of being scared with their anxiety?
My specific scenario is work related (a work incident triggered my anxiety) and now I'm constantly feeling scared I'm not good enough at my job, or things will escalate and it'll be thought of/seen as my fault (real or perceived). I feel like I'm in constant fear of what my senior exec will think of and/or do to me as a result. And the more I can't shake this fear feeling the more I feel like my anxiety gets worse.
Thanks.

Hi Jean,
I'm constantly dealing with anxiety issues myself. The more you try to fight the worry, the bigger it becomes, right? Here are a few tricks that I use myself. Hope they can help you.
If it's a recurring worry, I would tell myself that I worried about nothing last time. Probably I'm worrying about nothing again.
I try to think of the ultimate worst scenario. Ok if I lose my job, it wasn't meant to be. Life might be doing me a favour by getting me out of this nightmare.
This one is easier said than done ...... don't worry about how others think of you. If they don't like the way I am, tough! I'm still working on this one myself. If we've already done our best, that's all we can do.

Thanks Amanda2000 for the positive words. You are right on the money about fighting the worry and making it bigger.
I really am my worse enemy as I really struggle to not think the negative thoughts. I find that even if the thoughts aren't negative, even a simple reminder to do something next time I'm at work, it triggers the anxiety and associated feelings, especially the fear. I can't seem to cut myself a break that I see others get or do. Really hate all these negative thoughts just consti triggering the anxiety every day
