Anxiety overload

New member, long time worrier. I amso anxious at the moment I am doing things mindlessly. Ever driven somewhere and thought, hey  how did I get here? I am medicated, but have overwhelming stress that leaves me feeling extremely lonely. Anyone else currently in this situation?

Hi seekingpeace,

I am sorry you have been experiencing anxiety! Long-time worrier here too, big time. I know how you feel! I always drive somewhere whilst my mind is too busy and I don't take notice haha! BUT one thing you can do to get out of a worry spiral is to NOTICE what is going around you - what you see, the colour of the car in front of you, the street signs, the weather, the smell of the outside air or how your clothes/car seat feels on your skin, how the steering wheel feels on your fingers. Becoming more present by noticing what you can see, hear, smell and touch is always helpful for me! You could try this when you are being mindless.

Are you also undergoing therapy alongside medication? This can be more helpful.

I hope things improve,

Jaz xx

Hi seekingpeace,

I've been having same problems as well. Your not alone. As soon as I realise I'm getting anxious, I do the 333 rule.

3 things you see

3 you hear

3 things you can move

Try to focus on your breathing as well.

Hope this helped a little x
