Do you guys have any strategies for asthma anxiety? I get lots of panic and anxiety attacks over asthma and sometimes out of the blue. I already have strategies but I probably need a few more. Love you all and to who ever is reading this, you're strong and beautiful.

Hi, welcome

Among other illnesses I had anxiety and it now rarely appears. It took me 22 years to fully eliminated it but could take others less time.

I've written some articles on how I did it. Essentially multiple methods used is the best approach not just medication, not just relaxation as examples.

So listed below is the articles pertaining to how I became anxiety free-

Hi there,

Anxiety really is shit and I am sorry you are experiencing it. Do you have anxiety about having an asthma flare-up or attack? What are your triggers? Have you talked with a mental health professional about this? I would definitely recommend doing so, it could really help you.

I hope you are okay,

Jaz xx

Hey Jaz, thankyou xxx

I get anxious when I notice my breath starts changing and then take my puffer but it doesn't always work very well since I have used it so much. my triggers are noticing breath change, dust, certain words and sometimes it comes on very quickly with no reason. I've talked to my psychologist and she gave me some strategies but they don't always work. Do you have any strategies to do with morning asthma?

Thanks xx

Wow, that's amazing! Thankyou so much, I'll check them out. I'm on medication and I am only a teenager so I have my whole life ahead of me to cope with anxiety but the worst times for me are at night and in the morning. Any quick working strategies for breathwork would be appreciated xxx

Thankyou xx

Hi there x

No, I do not have asthma myself, but I think you need to treat the anxiety behind it with a psychologist. Have you communicated with her about the strategies not working? Have you talked to your doctor about your asthma too?

Jaz xx

I haven't seen her in a while but I think I will. I booked an appt and talked to the doctor, and she thinks I'm fine and it's allergies. Thankyou for your support xx
