I have been suffering anxiety and panic attacks for many years, but in the last 6 months things are just unbearable. I wake everyday with crippling anxiety, my mornings are virtually a right off. I'm seeking help but feel so alone

Hey Ukrose,
Thank you so much for reaching out and welcome to our forums. I'm sorry to hear that you've been struggling, anxiety can be so debilitating.
Have you ever seen a GP, therapist or counsellor about your anxiety or panic attacks? Professional advice and assistance, especially if you're attending over a prolonged period of time, can give you some good coping mechanisms and help you understand where your anxiety might be coming from.
I've struggled with anxiety on and off for a long time, and there are several things that I know help me. Firstly, you've mentioned that you feel alone in your experience, do you have any friends, family, or loved ones who you would feel comfortable reaching out to? Talking about what you're going through with someone you trust can make a world of difference and can empower you to seek further help and ultimately start feeling better.
I keep a journal and I write in it whenever I'm feeling sad, anxious, angry etc. It's helped me get through a lot of really difficult times, and it's also helped me keep track of panic attacks in the past so I can understand where they've been coming from.
Meditation seems like a simple answer but it can also be super helpful, particularly if you find that you're starting your days anxious.
I hope some of this resonates with you, please let me know if you try any of these out. We're here to give you our support through your struggles, so feel free to reach out and talk more if you need.
All the best, SB

Thank you, I have found meditation to be very helpful. I usually do at least 30 mins each morning. I am seeing my GP who is starting me on some meds and is going to organise a mental health plan to see a psychologist. Thank you again for reaching out to me

30 minutes a day is fantastic, and I'm glad to hear that you're finding it helpful. Combined with a mental health plan, you're already on your journey to feeling better, which is good.
😊
