Hi Dave 100
Welcome to the bb forum.
It’s a shame you haven’t yet had a response—sometimes a delay occurs when a lot of posts come in at once.
Sounds like you’ve got a lot on your plate and really need your medication. It’s not good.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the answer to your questions as I’ve never been in that situation. My only thought would be to ask your pharmacist.
My reply to your post will push it back to the top and hopefully someone more knowledgeable will come along.
Kind thoughts to you

hey Dave, what is a CDA doctor, and oil and flower as a medication?
Happy to hear some more.
Yes, some meds are super expensive and if they're not approved or whatever they cost a lot. I can't afford melatonin, which is a natural sleep remedy... and that's so upsetting.
Just my opinion but I wouldnt imagine you could get too far with medicare or the government, i think though you could definitely find a charity that would help you pay for the medication.St vincent de paul etc could provide maybe coles vouchers etc to help save money, and then u could have more money for the medication.
I'd try looking to get charitable assistance which could offset the costs. Some medictions have generic brands much cheaper. I'd recommend also talking to whoever prescribed it to you who could evaluate if they know a cheaper route to get the same result. So sorry for the stress u are going through. It is horrific that access to mediction is controlled by finances and limited in that way, withholding necessary and life-saving assistance to ppl who truly need it. I am really sorry u are in this predicament. Medication should be affordable for all and it is shocking to have to consider wether to buy it or not as a budgeting issue, rather than a health issue.

Hello Dave, I also have epilepsy but have not been offered this type of medication, I wish I knew more about it, but please try these:

We'd be interested to see how you go.
Geoff.

hey dave! Chronic pain has a lot of stress associated to it - i'm sure ppl here understand and can empathise, especially when the pain is "invisible" - it can add an extra layer of difficulties as the pain is hard to talk about and have recognised by others....i tihnk it's awesome u reached out here.
It's only my opinion that medicare wouldn't help too much but i'm not 100 percent sure. I'd be very curious if anyone had found any other ways to afford expensive medications. On these forums when I don't know something 100 perecent I just share my own experiences of mental health recovery - for me when i couldn't afford stuff for my mental health that was the route of seeking charity assistance. Some users sometimes ask family or friends to help offset the costs. It's hard.
I fully relate re work. If I could afford treatment and adequete housing etc i'd be in a better position to work and make more money, so it's a difficult cycle....
Sending care and support. Hang in there!!!
