Hello smallwolf

I'm sorry that you have been reminded of bad experiences. Our past can definitely still hurt. It's hard to move on and leave it where it belongs in the past. It would be great if we could just magically erase some memories so they don't keep interfering with our present life.

I hope that you'll feel better soon, let that child do what it needs to do and find peace

A somewhat difficult session with my psychologist today. I mentioned the death of Ozzy had a greater impact on me than ...

So I'm letting my inner angry child out of the box here -

We spoke about the Prince of Darkness—
and I was taken back
to my teenage years,
to the things that happened then,
and the suffocating weight
of being forced down a path
where I felt I did not belong,
where I was not allowed
to be myself.

You taught me silence.

I found music as my escape,
where I felt heard,
where I belonged,
and at the same time,
you made me feel
I was falling off the path.

Paradox.

Don’t pray for me—
you need saving, not me.

In the end,
your light was just a mask.
The Prince of Darkness
showed more love
with words…
you’re no different to me.

Hello smallwolf

What a touching tribute to Ozzy. I'm so sorry that you're struggling, I can understand how music can bring up so many memories.

It's a great loss of a very unique artist

Hi Trueseeker,

Thanks. I wrote that because ... music was my escape as a teen many years ago. Extremely protective parents. Little to no social life as a teen. Dad, conservative Christian. Satanic Panic. That's enough for one post. I am letting my inner angry child out...
