I'm fairly new to the forum. I thought I better share my pronouns and a bit of me so I don't get annoyed when people call me she, darling, hon, etc.

Im FtM and proud of who I am. I use he /him pronouns. Ive been on hormone treatment nearly 3 months. I fought for for over 2 years to get it - they wouldn't allow it because of my mental health issues which really sucked but I have it now which is the main thing.

Thanks for sharing. Please excuse my ignorance, can you please explain what FtM means?

It sounds like you are very pleased with the progress and changes you have been able to make. Also sounds like it has been a bit of a battle.

Do you feel better within yourself now that your desires are being acknowledged and validated?

Hopefully your body is reacting okay to the hormones.

It sounds like you've been through a bit already. I grew up with someone who over the recent years contacted me through facebook i guess due to me being a gay male and part of the LGBTQ community and that in our younger years, we knew each other. He is a FtM and he loves life, has a partner and has really opened up to himself and gained a lot of love and respect from his family and friends. It's a long journey, but it's worth it. Being true to yourself is always so important. I wish you all the best and send you strength and positive energy!

Thanks. Sorry for the ignorance. I live in a small country town and don't know anyone who has transitioned, so can only imagine how life may be.

We moved here about 5 years ago from an outer city suburb, moving to a small town can be interesting, some people accept you and others don't.

I hope you find acceptance along the way and your journey of discovering who you are and where you want to go is fulfilling.

Hi Red head

I am fairly new to these forums myself and I am going the opposite way to you MTF. Congrats on the HRT it is such an important part of making you feel better. I have been transitioning for a number of years and just about completed my physical stuff. Happy to chat and I know a number of Trans Guys along with other resources. I hope you have manged to find yourself some real life physical support as being trans can be a really tough gig.
