UNSURE ABOUT TITLE

Hi All,

I am a married 38 year old male with 2 children.

I am currently in a mental health facility dealing with my bi polar and some depression and anxiety and substance abuse issues which have arose from me not being able to deal with my problems.

Reason for my post here is to get some advice on another issue I have, as I’ve said I am married but I have a huge attraction to pre op transsexual ladies.

I have explored these fantasies and slept with a few over the last few years but also am still very attracted to women....

I guess I am unsure of my sexuality not knowing if I am gay, just an adventurous straight guy, bi??

i would love to here from anyone in similar circumstances to give any feedback....

hi Ricko, again it's a bit out of my area, however one thing I'd like to say is that you've had depression and anxiety and substance abuse issues to try and help you overcome these issues, then perhaps you maybe doing this as another way to help you distract yourself as well.
Maybe you find them to be fascinating, you're still attracted towards women, but perhaps ask yourself if you're interested in guys. Geoff.

Hey Rick and welcome to our caring forum community;

It's great you've come on board as this issue might just be a first, though not sure. Hopefully you'll find what you're looking for.

This thread might be a place for men/women who have the same attraction. Maybe you could contact forum moderators to request a title change that suits your topic; something more to the point like; 'I have an attraction to pre surgery trans women'. Others will know just by looking at the heading what it's about.

I watched a doco on SBS last night; 'Sex Diaries' (if you have access to episodes) which interviewed men attracted to transwomen. It was set in the UK, though I'm sure the demographic is similar in OZ.

Very interesting and informative. Though I must say as a woman I was a little shocked to hear what some said about women.

Most were or had been married. Transwomen were also interviewed which added to my intrigue. The show was sometimes confronting as it was quite verbally explicit in parts. These men also struggled to find a 'label' they fitted into.

I'm a mature bi woman and often post in the Rainbow Café thread where LGBTI+ members meet up to chat. Maybe you could drop by and talk there some time.
