dear Bella, thanks for posting your comment, but we don't know whether
you are male or female, that doesn't matter it's how we can address our
reply back to you.

There are times when we can talk to our
friends at school about how we feel, but we tend to leave out those deep
thoughts that we have because we might too afraid of discussing them.

There
is a lt of information on this site, buty perhaps the easiest way is
for you to click on 'Get Support' which is at the top of this page
and
then click onto 'information and resources'and then'order all the
printed material' from BB, it's all free, but it has so much
documentation which will describe depression etc.
Maybe if you get
this booklet then you can talk to your parents because you will have
gained some knowledge, however you might be surprised that your parents
will accept what you say and then be able to help you.
But please get back to us. Geoff.

I have had depression on and off for about a year and a half now and I haven't told my parents about any of it. I have only just become comfortable with telling my friends as some of them have anxiety / similar problems but I don't know if I should tell my parents? Also since depression is somewhat new to me and I don't know anyone else with it I was wondering what you guys do to help it, I usually go for long walks but if there's anything you would reccommend I'm all ears.

Thanks and pls help xx

Talking to friends about how you feel is a great start.

It sounds like you've had depression for quite some time now, maybe speaking to your GP and having them organise some Medicare covered counselling sessions would assist. My symptoms really only started to improve once I got that professional help, obviously everyone is different.

Speaking to your parents would be a good idea, I'm sure they want the best for you and will support you. Everyone's relationship with their parents is different, I haven't spoken to mine for example.

Depreasio isn't much fun, but it's workable with the right support.

Hope you're feeling better soon 🙂
