Hey,

Why do you feel embarrassed? There is nothing to be embarrassed about. Everyone here for one is very accepting. I used to be very embarrassed, I just assumed that I was being judged but I learned that wasnt the case and that it didnt matter either way. I believe in you being able to know your good qualities

What are some your hobbies? Some things that excite you?

Im happy to listen to you here and discuss what issues you are comfortable in bringing up.

So I kinda disappeared from the site for a long time

I'm not sure face to face counseling does anything for me anymore, not sure what I'm going to do now. I now hate myself and feel like a useless individual, I have some fast food service experience and that's it, I can never match up to others or be anywhere near on their level

I thought I might give my formal and graduation assembly chance they are this term coming up but after certain events occurred I've ditched the idea and have completely made up my mind about not going to them. No one at school cares about me so I don't care anymore

Hi Liam!

if face to face counselling doesnt help thats okay. I found it didnt help me much so instead I have been spent the last 3 years having counselling through the phone. I too dont have much work experience just a brief amount in fast food but thats okay because no experience is a bad one. There is no reason to hate yourself or feel worthless, I am very sure you have some great qualities, if you are willing I would like to hear some?

There is no reason to compare yourself, we are all on missions in our lives and the goals are changing. It doesnt matter how we get there what matters is that we keep trying and you sound like a continuous worker, well done!

I believe you should give your formal and graduation assembly a chance, there is no reason not to try. Dont let nerves or bad experiences overshadow a potential good experience. Are you sure people dont care? Because I feel as though you would have people that would care about you and enjoy your company?

You should always care about yourself, you are the most important person to yourself, you need nurturing.

Francesco.

Hey Francesco
I don't know good qualities about me because I feel embarrassed after 5 seconds of describing myself. I feel uncoformtable staring at my reflection
I did some stage plays but that's it.

I'm definitely set on not doing the formal and graduation, I was never invited to events in the past, was rejected from helping with activites.

I have no close friends at all

If there's anything I missed I'm happy to talk it out

This is an attempt to respond to two at once.

Hobbies include film production, acting etc

What happened in between last visit: Like mentioned I was considering giving the formal and graduation assembly a go but have completely changed my mind and won't do them

Just feeling tired and drained

Not sure if others hate me, view me as weak or care but can't say it

Those hobbies sound good. I am also interested in film production. I would like to hear about more that you have done with those hobbies, if that is okay?

How is your home life at the moment if you dont mind me asking, do you feel supported?

Of course, its hard to know what others think, none of us are mind readers but there is no way to say for sure that someone hates you.

Hey Liam007!

First off, have you considered seeing a different councillor or psychologist? I've been through about 5 over the years, and I'm really glad I kept looking until I found one I really clicked with, because it was well worth it.

Definitely try alternative treatments like art therapy, yoga, and medication. Talk therapy isn't for everyone, and it's not uncommon for it's effectiveness to wear off. Try keeping a diary or a mood chart, as this can help your psychologist or doctor pinpoint exactly what your triggers are.

As for the public speaking at your assembly, don't push yourself to do it if you know it could end up in an anxiety attack - there's a difference between pre-stage nerves and severe anxiety.

Keep up with your hobbies, and try new things. Make sure to look after yourself physically too - getting enough sleep, a stable diet, etc.

And don't worry about what others think - particularly in school. Their opinions are usually all one-sided and irrelevant anyway. Letting their negative comments (or even your anxiety-fuelled ones) keep you down is like letting them live in your head rent-free - you don't need that! You're awesome as it is, don't let anyone tell you differently 🙂

Sorry for the long absence

In terms of keeping up with hobbies, that's a major problem. There's a group I'm a part of that does several projects, I keep expressing the desire to join in but keep getting turned down. I feel like they pretty much prefer all the other members and are not interested in me at all .

That pretty much sums everything up.
