Dear New Member~

I'd like to welcome you here to the Forum and am sorry you are having difficulties with friendships, thay are a large part of a person's life.

I guess the natural thing to do is compare what might have happened at school, TAFE or Uni with being at work. At school you were all together in the same place, there was quite a large number of people around and you all shared a common tasks, study, both during school hours and afterwards.

As a result groups were made friendships naturally occurred.

A job is a different environment, true you might talk each day whilst together at work, however after work things are different, some may have relationships, even kids, others one or more other jobs, differing interests or commitments, so there is no after hours contact in the same way.

I don't know of any instant answer to this problem. As you had friends before it is not you, it is circumstances. All I can suggest is you lead an active social life as you can, including groups or clubs or volunteering positions that interest you and see who else you meet.

You know you are always welcome here

Croix
