Hi Petal,

Getting kids to school can be a battle and sorry to hear that your family are being unsupportive and have simply labelled him as being 'naughty'.

So called 'naughty' behaviour usually has an underlying cause. I would suggest talking to your son in a positive way to find out what is going on in his life at the moment.

Has he always been like this or is it something recent? Has anything happened in home/family life? How is he going with school work - maybe he is struggling to keep up? What's going on in his social life - is he being bullied in any way? Is there anything else going on that may cause him reluctance in going to school?

But please remember that 'naughty' behaviour is usually a symptom of an underlying issue which could be the cause of his behaviour. Have a non threatening chat with him to try and find out what's going on.

I wish you the very best

ignoP
