Hi Escapist

Sounds like you are stuck and not sure what to do.

BPD is a very tricky illness to deal with but I am sure that with the right medication and treatment plan people can get better and not have the traits of BPD.

When was the last time you spoke to your ex? Is she having treatment or seeing a professional?

Hope to hear back from you

Jo

She's admitted to having bi-polar, but is opposed to the notion that she has bpd. She has all of the symptoms, and our relationship followed the exact course every relationship with a BPD does.

I blocked her six days ago on everything. We'd fallen into this pattern where she'd just abuse me, cut me off on everything, then unblock me and apologize and ask me to tak her back. We used to live together, but the relationship grew farther and farther apart, and her period of idealization grew shorter and shorter.

Basically in the midst of her latest barrage of abuse, she told me she was flirting with a new guy and he advised her not to talk to me anymore, and I told her that was the final betrayal and blocked her on everything hoping I could improve myself and fix the problems she said she had with me. She's posted in various places essentially that she misses me, but she's made no attempt to contact me this time. I'm worried she just got with the new guy, but she's still listing herself as single everywhere and talking about missing me.

I was hoping I could improve myself, and given time she'd snap back into idealization mode, realize she'd gone to far, and reach out to mem, and I could regain some of the respect and control I'd lost in the relationship, but it's so hard not to cave an unblock her and tell her I love her and miss her desperately.
