hi I am a mum of what was once a lively buetifull and full of life girl , until she went to high school and all went down hill, she being diagnosed with anxiety and depression and also self harms, I just don't know how to help her , I feel like all I have done for the last eight months is cry and get on with things the hardest part is thinking that she would just get over it but I know now that its not going away with out help and support, and we have got her help but she won't talk , we scared to leave her home alone , in the last month visited emergency department twice ,why we keep asking our selves , thanks for listening just needed to talk to someone

You dont say how old your daughter is?

Has she showed any interest in changing schools?

Consider all options.

she is 14 and we have been to 3 school in the last 6 months , the damage was already done ,though we had dealt with the problems at school until it was too late

hello Jamaine, this must be such an enormous concern that all of you have to deal with, it must be frightening.
It can be quite scary for a 14 year old girl to open up and talk about what is worrying her, but I suppose kids don't like people intruding on their space, they are developing, maturing at an enormous rate, their body has already begun to change shape, but they are too frightened to disclose any secrets because they feel as though they will be criticised and often asked 'why'.
Kids won't open up when the situation feels like when someone is lecturing them, that's what turns them off and will feel uncomfortable, another example is when someone is standing in front of them in a dominant position, this will make them close up.
I'm not sure whether you go in with her to a counselling session, but perhaps this might not be a good idea, later on you will be able to catch up with what's been happening.
Have you tried contacting Headspace or Reachout they know how to talk with adolescents and may only dressed in casual clothes, rather than a suit and tie, which is dominating for her and scares her.
