Hi Kate, welcome

I can imagine this is the silent sadness for many parents.

Back in the 1980's my then first wife and I tried to create the old fashioned lifestyle in the country- mum and kids at home and dad goes to work. Even though we had a small mortgage I had to work 3 jobs to do this.

That leaves most parents now struggling with both working and day care. I still don't like the concept but economics dictate the lifestyle now.

I wonder how many young parents now have considered moving to the country, a small to medium size town so their quality of life for them and their children improves?

Anyway, I would like you to consider reading the first post of the following threads. That might help. Use google

Anyone ever feel so guilty leaving their kids at Daycare that they cry? I do, especially when they scream for me to stay. I do love my job but I love my kids more.
