Does anyone else find that they not only battle the regular stigmas held against mental illness, but then also have to deal with the stigma the church has of mental illness as well? How do you handle it?

Hi AM01,

Stigma is perceived I guess, you may not be able to change peoples perception, only your response to their judgment. I would think that only someone that is completely spiritually enlightened could judge the affect of spirituality on mental health. So I would ignore stigma, as a misunderstanding, learn the truth of what religion can do for mental health.
