I understand your situation as my brother had the same illness as your biological mum...and I was concerned about paranoid schizophrenia too</P> <P>The antipsychotics are a common medication and your psychiatrist <EM>wouldnt </EM>have written the script lightly as schizophrenia cant really be 'prevented' by medication</P> <P>Is it 'normal'?...<EM>It depends on your symptoms</EM> Loligiggles. Your GP can answer that a lot better than we can. Can I ask if you have a GP that you can have a good talk to? Even if you make a double appointment?</P> <P>Ive also had chronic anxiety when I was younger and it doesnt mean I (or yourself) will end up with schizophrenia</P> <P>If I was in your situation now....I would asking my GP some questions. You have everything to gain and nothing to lose by doing so!</P> <P>If you wish to elaborate on your situation we can try to provide you more effective support.
