I am new to Brisbane.

Can anyone suggest a good GP. I also looking for a Psychiatrist.

Just need some direction.

Welcome and good on you for posting too

There are many kind people on the forums but we cant recommend a GP...(who will make the referral to a psychiatrist for you).

If you scroll down the page under 'Get Support' you will find the header 'Find a Professional'.

I suffer from depression and used to have acute anxiety since 1983. Whilst finding a good GP (and then your referral to a psychiatrist) we are here if you need any support on anything you feel comfortable discussing 🙂

Moving house is a big step as it can trigger many feelings of anxiety and/or depression...

Hi Mover.

Welcome to Brisbane. I am in the same boat as you. I moved here last Tuesday and have just settled in my house in the south east suburbs. I am using google to try help me find a GP. A lot of people put reviews on google. I am considering Morningside Medical as they bulk bill. My family go to a really good place but I can't really afford to pay heaps of money everytime I go to the GP. As for psychiatrist usually the GP refers you to a specific one (they did with my mum) So I am assuming you'll have to find a GP first.

How old are you Mover. There are some low cost services including headspace or I have heard of local counsils having some services.

You can also look up some GP with interest in mental health on here. Im actually gonna do that now.
