topic ERP for "Pure O" OCD? in Treatments, health professionals and therapies

Dear Hannah

Welcome to the forum.I'm sorry you had not had an earlier reply to your query.

Unfortunately, I know nothing about ERP, which is not helpful to you. I looked it up on the web and could only find a mention as part of a software program. Can you give me more information?

I know about schema therapy and I am interested in how you go with this. I wonder if working in two, presumably different, types of therapy is a good idea. Perhaps you can check this out with both therapists. I wonder if it like learning two ways of problem solving at the same time and getting mixed up about which one you are using at any time.

These are my thoughts and may not be applicable. However, I would like to learn more about you and chat on this forum.

ERP for "Pure O" OCD?

Looking for positive stories from those who have had ERP therapy for OCD with intrusive thoughts/obsessional thoughts. Seeing a Psychologist who will do Schema Therapy but also another Psychotherapist who I wanted to ask about ERP which was suggested to me. Just thought I would put feelers out there to see if anyone had positive outcomes
