Hi Opuses,

Unfortunately I cant provide any information on potential causes of your symptoms as I'm not a health professional. However it might be worth a trip to your local doctor or gp to get a proper opinion. Especially as your symptoms are impacting on your daily life.

It sounds like your partner is very supportive which is great.

Hi everyone, hoping to open a discussion on Perimenopause 🥴🥴🥴

Wondering if anyone has had experiences like mine and maybe what they did/ how long it went for etc etc.

December 2016 and I'm 38 and going thru some stress. I developed a low hum in my ears/ head and kept being told it was stress. In May I met a great man whom I'm still with, I'm now 42, but in November 2017 I developed what is best described as burning stomach symptom. Two years later it has subsided but I Neve found out what caused it after may tests. My hum still happens on and off as always.

In Feb 2018 I started losing interest in sex. I'm still chuffed with my partner etc etc, still close and do everything together, but when he gets too close, I close off. Nothing I can think of has happened for this to happen to me. In the last year and a half we've prob had sex 4 times, he's very patient, understanding and supportive and I feel bad that I can't come to the party.

I've recently started wondering if it could be Perimenopause????? It could explain my symptoms as I've never had an explanation for them no matter how many specialists I've been to. It would almost be a relief!

My last three periods have been every three weeks instead of the usual 4 weeks......

Any info would be great!

Thanks

Hey check out the 'happy Hormones "site.

They have a faceback group with thousands of women talking about womens issues including perimenopause.

It's quite good. Based in Australia as well.

Hi opuses,

Thanks for posting and sharing a really important topic. Many women experience symptoms and find out that they related to hormones or perimenopause/menopause.

As Jess334 mentioned, it would be a great idea to set up an appointment to see your GP - even a video visit if you are not wanting to do a face to face appointment. Or you could find a GP that has special interest in womens health or visit a women's health clinics in your area. A Doctor can do an assessment and look at all of your symptoms and help you gain clarity on what is going on for you. I have attached the link below to a fact sheet on perimenopause for your interest but I would recommend a visit to your GP to get the clarity you are looking for. https://www.jeanhailes.org.au/resources/perimenopause-fact-sheet

Wishing you the best possible outcome,
