Just a note of thanks to all the amazing Members on this National platform

Its important to acknowledge the contribution that you provide on the forums. This can be a difficult and sometimes emotional time of the year for many that are experiencing any level of difficulty in their lives....(that includes myself too)

Thankyou to all the members that have summoned the courage to post/or continue to contribute on the forums 🙂

If you wish to thank anyone on the forums you are very welcome to do so!

Thank you to the people who have supported me, asked me questions which made me think, had fun with me when I wanted to play, who've given their care & kindness, their experience & understanding to me, to those who have forgiven me when I am too long-winded...there is so much I thank so many people here for, but most importantly, I thank those who provide these forums in the first instance .

Hi Paul and Everyone, Happy Christmas to all of you and to thank anyone isn't easy, whether it's the person next to you in the queue who offered some great advice, but don't see them again, or perhaps it's a friend's spouse/partner who mentioned a different way to tackle your problem, or a previous friend who was right next to you, but for some reason, you don't see anymore but their knowledge and experience has helped you through your problems, but these problems may never stop for us, we have to be vigilant and we change over time.

The number of comments made by many others comes and go, but all it takes is a couple of words they mention that stick with us and we are able to build on because they resonate with us, not with the person next to us, but to us personally, these are those we want to thank.

If we aren't listening to someone then perhaps a little criticism is in order, but it shouldn't be constant, once it's made the point has been raised, that's what friends are for, not to agree with everything, that makes them a 'yes man'.

There are lots of people to thank, disappointed in those who haven't, but life goes, but thank you to those many people who have and too many to mention.

I agree with Geoff if you name people you may leave some out.

So thanks to all those reading and writing and listening to others and offering support on the forums.

Thanks to all those in helping profession who go the extra mile.

Thanks to neighbours who reach out to lonely neighbours.

Thanks to everyone who listens.

Thanks to people who realise that every anniversary of a traumatic event is difficult.

Thanks to people who say they will be there for you and are.
Thanks to people who are struggling but find time to listen

Thanks to Beyond Blue for these forums.

Thanks to all those people who have no idea that they have helped others.

Hello Paul, I'm sorry, I beg to differ, talking on the phone for two or three hours is completely different than being on the forums, because actually talking on the phone you have to unnecessarily defend yourself about what is said and what I actually believe in.

If you are told 'you don't like doing this or doing that do you' then you have to unjustly try and explain why, which you shouldn't have to do, especially to a newcomer to the site, which I never ever do.

Everyone has their own personality and if you don't do whatever someone else does in life, then you shouldn't be condemned.

Not all of us have the time to do what someone else does and should never be criticised.

I do join Paul in his comments to those above, and also thank them very much for their support to many others on the site.

Hi Paul and everyone else

Hope you all have a fabulous New Year and that we can continue to interact here and respectfully offer support to each other and others.

I first want to thank all the Australians who donate to beyond blue. Their financial support is vital and it comforts me to know that so many people care about the mental health of their fellow citizens and are moved to act.

I also want to thank our Community Champions for their ongoing efforts to ensure this is a meaningful, safe and helpful place to be. Ditto for our moderation team.

Lastly, I thank everyone with the courage to post. It takes courage to share an issue, create a positive, fun or topical post and to do one’s best to offer support.

I am so looking forward to this year on the forum because I trust the promised changes will make it an even better environment. So a big shout out to that redevelopment team too.
