hi Ozm, well 25 years old isn't any bit being old, and if I had the time and wanted to start a course at my age 61 I certainly would, and yes I agree with what the others have said.
Civil construction sounds to be very fascinating and if at any time you feel as though you are falling bsckwards then you must go and talk to the lecturer, it could be just that you're looking at the whole picture rather than the task at hand. Geoff.

Hi!

Thanks for your post! 25 is definitely not too old to start a course! At my uni there are plenty of people who start as mature age students, or who start a course and then come back years later. Congrats on having conquered your anxiety! Starting a course you're interested in will probably be helpful for your mood state. Just make sure you keep in touch with your doctor, look after your health by sleeping and eating well (and a little exercise too), and also don't hesitate to ask lecturers or other staff for help when you're studying.

I hope you can start your new course 🙂

All the best,

No, not too old 🙂 I did both tafe and uni well after giving up on school. Don't forget to balance the added pressure with the good stuff. I wish you all the best.

Hi ozm8ey. I'm with the other's here. Go for it. If you find something that works, give it everything you've got. As Rob and S.M pointed out, though take care of yourself. Every so often give yourself a reward. Keep in touch with your Dr, watch your stress levels.

Hi Ozm8ey, 25 is definitely not to old to start a course. Take it from someone who is about to turn 60 and has done a few courses over the years. I reckon taking on a new challenge even though it can be bit scary can be a positive thing. I look back now and wish I had stuck with mature aged study. My advice though would to be good to yourself and try and enjoy the challenge while taking care of yourself.

25 years old is definitely not too old, heck is even not old when I was at uni there was a 70 year old woman, her kneed were wobbly but she would attend everyday which I thought was awesome. it's great that you want to do a course its good to give a a go. worst case you can always leave it before the census date which is roughly 3 week , a month in good luck with what you decide.

Hi there ozm8ey,

25? Go for it! I've done two diplomas after the age of 45 so you've got plenty of time on your side. I love to study so it's highly likely that I'll do something else that interests me or expand on one of the qualifications that I've already got.

Don't think about it. As the saying goes, just do it.

Good luck and good studying!

Go for it!

I started my degree when my children were teenagers and I loved it. Education gives you so much more than a piece of paper, new people, new ideas, a new way of thinking and so much more.

You can't lose just giving something new a go makes it worthwhile.

Good luck! 🙂

25 is definitely not too old. I started a Uni degree in my mid 40's because because it took me that long to stabilise my life enough and with good Psychologist support I finally realised it is possible. My intelligence is only just average, I work full time and still struggle at times, however am doing very well. You just need to want to do it, and ask for help when things get tough, as sometimes they do. The upside is the incredible satisfaction of learning new interesting things, improved self esteem and when you do get good results, they are often a reward for your hard work.
