Not matter how any times I request for a change and explain the pain my wife is causing to me. Over the years, she just says sorry and keep torturing me mentally. I am no longer the same man after our marriage. My parents literally say to my face that I am no longer the same man and they dont even recognise me.

I'd like to welcome you here to the Forum, a wise move as I expect you will find others with similar problems and see how they coped, better than just soldiering on in isolation.

You have posted in the PTSD and Trauma section, and that leads me to wonder if you have either (or both) of these as a result of your wife's behavior or if you are refering to something else. As someone who had PTSD from an occupational cause I know my own marriage suffered greatly, though in my case I was lucky, my wife was a support, not the opposite.

So do you mind if I ask you to be a bit more specific on that she is doing to make your life so miserable? It's a bit hard to discuss the matter properly - which you certainly deserve - without a few more facts.

If I understand correctly you have talked about this with your wife more than once, and although she apologies nothing changes. Do you think this is a case of not understanding, or not making an effort?

For your parents to mark the change in you it must be a far-reaching one, could you say what sort of things they had noticed?

Irrespective of the details you sound as if you need support, do you have anyone in your family, or a friend, to talk frankly wiht who will listen and care?

I do hope you do come back and say a little more about things
