Hi Olivia,

I can relate to you, I’m 28 years old and feel as though I have been depressed all my life. I had to be hospitalise a few times during my late teens for anxiety/panic attacks and have just recently been diagnosed with Complex PTSD, possibly BPD and an anxiety disorder. (Still investigating)

This is a result of severe childhood sexual abuse & DV in my adult relationships. I had a children very young and they’ve always been my saving grace. I struggle with AOD issues right up until becoming pregnant. It took a long time for me to realise and come to terms with my mental health issues and face them. I was scared. Some days I feel scared still, but I remind myself I’m working hard to better myself.

YOU ARE NOT LAZY! Or unmotivated, you should give yourself some credit. How brave of you to seek help and share your story, thank you! I believe and relate to your pain. I found that talking to the doctors hasn’t helped me that much, only really speaking to others who also suffer daily. I hope you have a great day today.

Hey everyone,

I’m 23 years old and living with complex PTSD (cPTSD), depression and anxiety as a result of childhood trauma and domestic abuse.

Is it possible to be depressed etc. for your entire life?

I cannot remember a time when I didn’t have mental health issues. This makes me wonder if there is actually anything wrong or whether I am just lazy or unmotivated.
